Job title: Quality Manager
Location: Floral Park, NY
Compensation range: $75-80/hour

We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality assurance efforts for supporting one of our clients' projects in Floral Park, New York

Role & Responsibilities:

• Prepare the Contractor Quality Programs and Quality Work Plans.
• Report to executive management on the performance of the Quality system and make recommendations for improvement.
• Establish and implement a quality system to maintain and improve quality standards.
• Perform Inspections on Incoming Materials and Construction Activities.
• Maintain and update Quality Manuals.
• Prepare and maintain Quality Checklists, forms, and reports.
• The Quality Manager's sole function shall be to manage all quality matters for the Contract and shall have the authority and organizational freedom to act in all quality matters for the Contractor.
• The Quality Manager shall be responsible for the development, continuous evaluation of the effectiveness, and any subsequent revisions of the QMP.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years of quality-related experience in the construction or infrastructure industry.
• Demonstrated experience serving in a full-time Quality Assurance (QA) and/or Quality Control (QC) management capacity.
• Previous experience as a Quality Manager (QM) on MTA projects is required.
• Strong experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable MTA quality specifications, standards, and requirements.
• Current Quality Management certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) or the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
• Working knowledge of ISO 9000/ISO 9001 quality management standards and principles.
• Demonstrated experience planning, conducting, and documenting quality audits, including audits of relevant contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
• Ability to identify quality deficiencies/non-conformances and oversee corrective and preventive actions in accordance with project requirements.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC documentation, inspections, reporting, compliance, and quality assurance procedures.
