Are you a licensed Enrolled Agent who wants to focus on real tax controversy work - not busywork - while working from home? If so, our New Jersey-based tax law firm has a great opportunity for you.

Who Are We?

We're not just any law firm; we're a team on a mission to redefine client service in the tax law domain. Our firm includes a Managing Attorney, Senior Attorney, Associate Attorney, Billing Specialist, Salesperson, Receptionist, and Intake Specialist. With growth on the horizon, we need an Enrolled Agent who wants to do substantive tax controversy work alongside our attorneys, not just administrative support.

You're detail-oriented, comfortable talking to the IRS on the phone, and know your way around a transcript and a Collection Information Statement. You're tech-savvy and can manage the responsibilities of a remote position without someone looking over your shoulder.

• Competitive Compensation : $80,000 a year, plus up to 10% bonus based on quarterly performance.

This is a remote position, but we're only able to hire in the following states due to our employer payroll registration: NJ, NY, PA, WA, AZ, TX, IN, or NV. Responsibilities

Your Role With Us :
• Draft Collection Information Statements, correspondence to the IRS, and case closing letters for attorney review.
• Call the IRS ACS and Practitioner lines to obtain case information and move cases forward.
• Review IRS transcript reports and keep case deadlines and milestones on track.
• Work under the direction of our attorneys - you'll do real casework, not just filing and scheduling.

Qualifications

Do You Have What It Takes?
• Licensed Enrolled Agent.
• Associate's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience at a tax controversy firm.
• Tech-savvy.
