Paid Ads Manager

As Paid Ads Manager, you'll own the execution engine behind every paid campaign we run for clients. Our Client Success Managers set the strategy and direction; you and your team control the levers, ensuring every campaign is built, launched, optimized, and audited with precision. This is a hands-on operational leadership role. You'll spend meaningful time managing the team and process, and meaningful time in the accounts yourself, catching what others miss.

You'll lead a growing team of paid media specialists managing hundreds of client accounts across Meta, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and streaming platforms. The volume and complexity are real. This is a role for someone who thrives on organization, structure, and getting campaigns exactly right, not someone chasing the next big creative idea.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and optimize backend campaign execution across Meta, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, NextDoor, Reddit, TikTok, Google, and Trade Desk (streaming/OTT)
• Lead an offshore team of paid media specialists, overseeing implementation of campaign changes and auditing of client campaigns for accuracy and performance
• Serve as the strategic bridge between Client Success and Marketing, sharing knowledge with clients and team members to strengthen campaign performance, without owning overall media-mix strategy (that stays with the Client Success team)
• Own error rate, spend, and impression performance across the book of business, holding the team to a very low margin for error
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously across a large volume of accounts, prioritizing and triaging as needed in a fast-moving environment
• Coach and grow team members, having direct, honest conversations that diagnose root causes rather than surface-level fixes
• Evolve your own workflow and your team's from primarily individual contributor work toward a majority people management focus as the team scales
• Leverage agentic AI tooling to expand team capacity and improve campaign accuracy and speed
• Partner with Client Success and Marketing to continually raise the bar on campaign quality and team knowledge

Requirements:

• Proven experience managing paid campaigns across Google Ads and Google Analytics - you can speak fluently to platform mechanics, not just outcomes
• Experience managing multiple accounts or projects concurrently at real volume (100+ accounts) in an agency, ad ops, or in-house media buying environment
• Prior management experience - you've led a team before and can point to how you've developed people
• Proven, results-driven track record, with real data and examples to back it up, not just a description of responsibilities
• Exceptionally high organizational skills and attention to detail. This role lives and dies on precision at scale
• Ability to strategize how a role and team should be structured as the function grows
• Comfortable working within constraints or imperfect conditions, adapting quickly as priorities shift
• Direct communicator who can hold difficult conversations with clients and team members and take in a significant amount of feedback
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment and moves quickly without sacrificing accuracy
• Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills

Pluses:

• Hands-on client-facing experience, in addition to backend campaign execution
• Experience with additional platforms beyond Google (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, NextDoor, Trade Desk, or other streaming/OTT platforms)
• Experience building or scaling a department or function from the ground up
• OTT / streaming media experience
• Experience setting up a local buyer's platform on Google
• Google certifications
• Experience with Convey.dev or broader agentic AI tooling

• Average campaign error rate of.1% or lower across social and streaming
• Minimum spend and impression qualifiers met across the book of business
• Client Success meetings booked and supported
• Overall health and performance of managed campaigns across the team
