We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Book Keeper who can independently manage all accounting work in our CPA firm while leading and supporting junior accounting staff.

This is not only a supervisory position. The Senior Accountant must personally work on client accounts, resolve complicated accounting issues, and finalize books with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Independently handle complete accounting for clients in multiple industries
  • Handle our Accounting team members
  • Work extensively in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Review, correct, and finalize bookkeeping prepared by junior staff
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Perform bank, credit card, payroll, loan, and intercompany reconciliations
  • Prepare adjusting, reclassification, depreciation, and closing journal entries
  • Review the General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, loans, fixed assets, payroll liabilities, and equity accounts
  • Identify and correct errors, misclassifications, duplicate transactions, and unusual balances
  • Ensure books are accurate, tax-ready, and audit-ready
  • Prepare year-end workpapers and schedules for tax return preparation
  • Communicate directly with clients to obtain information and resolve accounting questions
  • Lead, train, and support junior accounting staff
  • Manage multiple client files and complete work within deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum5-6 years of strong, hands-on accounting experience
  • Experience in Handling Team
  • Experience handling complete accounting and finalization of books
  • Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting and financial statements
  • Ability to independently handle complicated client accounts
  • Ability to review staff work while also completing accounting work personally
  • Strong Excel, analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
  • CPA firm experience is strongly preferred
  • English communication skills are required
  • English and Hindi bilingual skills are preferred
  • Must work from our office

We are primarily looking for practical experience, strong accounting knowledge, leadership ability, and the capability to manage all accounting functions of a CPA firm.

Candidates with only data-entry or basic bookkeeping experience will not be suitable for this position.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Tax & Accounting to lead and oversee the Tax and Accounting Departments of our growing CPA firm. This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing and reviewing work performed by both our US office and back office teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of strong US tax and accounting experience with extensive knowledge of individual partnership S Corporation and C Corporation tax returns. The candidate should also have strong experience in US GAAP bookkeeping financial statement preparation QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop.

The Director will manage department workflow assign work to team members review tax returns and accounting work monitor deadlines ensure quality standards and oversee the performance of accountants tax preparers and back office staff.

The position requires someone who can take ownership of department operations communicate directly with clients resolve tax and accounting issues and make day to day decisions independently.

CPA or Enrolled Agent is strongly preferred.
Qualifications and Leadership Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of strong US tax and accounting experience preferred

• Strong experience preparing and reviewing individual partnership S Corporation and C Corporation tax returns

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting bookkeeping and financial statement preparation

• Strong QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop experience

• Proven experience managing and supervising Tax and Accounting Departments

• Manage and oversee Tax and Accounting operations performed by both the US office and back office teams

• Assign and coordinate work between US staff and back office staff based on experience workload and deadlines

• Review tax returns bookkeeping accounting financial statements reconciliations and other work completed by the US office and back office teams

• Monitor daily workflow and project status across both offices and make sure assignments are moving forward

• Ensure work completed by the back office meets US accounting tax and firm quality standards before delivery to clients

• Review staff productivity quality of work turnaround time and pending assignments

• Identify errors incomplete work and delays and take appropriate corrective action

• Conduct regular meetings with Tax and Accounting teams and follow up on pending work

• Train guide and mentor accountants tax preparers bookkeepers and other department staff

• Establish and maintain quality control procedures for Tax and Accounting Departments

• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax accounting financial matters and missing information when necessary

• Take ownership of Tax and Accounting Department operations and make routine operational and technical decisions independently

• Escalate significant technical tax client or compliance matters to the CEO when necessary

• CPA or Enrolled Agent strongly preferred
